ADR: defer CloudNativePG

Bundled Postgres per project for now, with written triggers to revisit.

All Supabase projects were retired in September 2026, so there is no Postgres on the cluster to migrate. The ADR and its recipe stay as the starting point if one comes back.

An operator-managed Postgres was evaluated, an image was even built for it, and the decision was to defer: each project keeps the Postgres bundled with its Supabase release, backed up nightly.

The ADR lists the triggers that reopen the question: an uptime commitment, a handful more projects, a need for point-in-time recovery, or frequent major upgrades. It also carries the migration recipe for when one fires.

Takeaway

Deferring with written triggers is a decision; deferring without them is drift.
