Three lessons, three languages

Localising a content-heavy app early is cheap; retrofitting is not.

The first three interactive lessons shipped complete in all three languages on the same day, with strings split into per-language resource files from the first commit.

Nothing about that was clever. It was cheap because it was done before there was content to migrate, and every lesson afterwards inherited the split for free.

Takeaway

The alternative, localising a finished app, is the kind of work that never gets scheduled.
