A LoRa star for garage and mailbox

One hub on Wi-Fi, battery nodes talking to it point to point, for places Wi-Fi does not reach.

The built boards came from the same shortlist, RAK3112 for the hub and RAK3172 for the nodes, and the point-to-point link is field-tested.

The goal: see what happens where Wi-Fi does not reach, in a garage one or two floors down, at the mailbox, on the veranda. The design is a star. One hub indoors stays on Wi-Fi; battery nodes sleep almost all the time, wake to send one frame with all their readings, listen two seconds for commands, and send an alarm at once when a door or motion pin fires.

Point to point to a hub I own, not LoRaWAN: one building needs no network server. Readings, alerts and commands are rows in Supabase.
