Version 1.0.0 of the sensor companion app, thirteen months after the prototype and ninety versioned builds later, with an iOS archive for testers roughly every fourth build.

The number I keep from it is the ratio: a solo mobile project needs a build for almost every visible change, and the test group only sees a fraction of them.

Takeaway

Versioning every build, even the ones that went nowhere, is what made the history readable five years later.
