Six days of camfix builds

Eight builds to stabilise a USB camera on a tablet; the final fix was one line.

Adding a USB camera feed inside a lesson slide took a JNI camera library and one afternoon. Making it survive on the actual tablet took eight builds in six days, each one a different combination of manifest permissions and foreground-service flags.

The final fix was one line. The lesson was not about the line.

Takeaway

A device-specific bug cannot be debugged from an emulator, and build numbers with a suffix in them are the cheapest incident log you can keep.
